Jarosław Janik c9363bbb0f Revert "ALSA: hda/conexant: Mute speakers at suspend / shutdown"
Commit 4f61c8fe35 ("ALSA: hda/conexant: Mute speakers at suspend /
shutdown") mutes speakers on system shutdown or whenever HDA controller
is suspended by PM; this however interacts badly with Thinkpad's ACPI
firmware behavior which uses beeps to signal various events (enter/leave
suspend or hibernation, AC power connect/disconnect, low battery, etc.);
now those beeps are either muted altogether (for suspend/hibernate/
shutdown related events) or work more or less randomly (eg. AC
plug/unplug is only audible when you are playing music at the moment,
because HDA device is likely in suspend mode otherwise).

Since the original bug report mentioned in 4f61c8fe35 complained about
Lenovo's Thinkpad laptop - revert this commit altogether.

Takashi Iwai 5b1913a79c ALSA: hda: Use own quirk lookup helper
For allowing the primary codec SSID matching (that works around the
conflicting PCI SSID problems), introduce a new struct hda_quirk,
which is compatible with the existing struct snd_pci_quirk along with
new helper functions and macros.

The existing snd_pci_quirk tables are replaced with hda_quirk tables
accordingly, while keeping SND_PCI_QUIRK() entry definitions as is.

This patch shouldn't bring any behavior change, just some renaming and
shifting the code. The actual change for the codec SSID matching will
follow after this.

Vasiliy Kovalev 9988844c45 ALSA: hda/conexant - Fix audio routing for HP EliteOne 1000 G2
There is a problem with simultaneous audio output to headphones and
speakers, and when headphones are turned off, the speakers also turn
off and do not turn them on.

However, it was found that if you boot linux immediately after windows,
there are no such problems. When comparing alsa-info, the only difference
is the different configuration of Node 0x1d:

working conf. (windows): Pin-ctls: 0x80: HP
not working (linux): Pin-ctls: 0xc0: OUT HP

This patch disable the AC_PINCTL_OUT_EN bit of Node 0x1d and fixes the
described problem.

We received a regression report for System76 Pangolin (pang14) due to

When OMTP headset plugin the headset jack of CX8070 and SN6160 sound cards,
the headset type detection circuit will recognize the headset type as CTIA.
At this point, plugout and plugin the headset will get the correct headset
type as OMTP.
The reason for the failure of headset type recognition is that the sound

interferes with the headset type automatic detection circuit. Plugout and

headset type.

Takashi Iwai b871cb971c ALSA: hda/conexant: Partial revert of a quirk for Lenovo
The recent commit f83bb25924 ("ALSA: hda/conexant: Add quirk for
LENOVO 20149 Notebook model") introduced a quirk for the device with
17aa:3977, but this caused a regression on another model (Lenovo
Ideadpad U31) with the very same PCI SSID. And, through skimming over
the net, it seems that this PCI SSID is used for multiple different
models, so it's no good idea to apply the quirk with the SSID.

Although we may take a different ID check (e.g. the codec SSID instead
of the PCI SSID), unfortunately, the original patch author couldn't
identify the hardware details any longer as the machine was returned,
and we can't develop the further proper fix.

In this patch, instead, we partially revert the change so that the
quirk won't be applied as default for addressing the regression.
Meanwhile, the quirk function itself is kept, and it's now made to be
applicable via the explicit model=lenovo-20149 option.

Takashi Iwai 5faa0bc691 ALSA: hda/conexant: Fix missing beep setup
Currently the Conexant codec driver sets up the beep NID after calling
snd_hda_gen_parse_auto_config(). It turned out that this results in
the insufficient setup for the beep control, as the generic parser
handles the fake path in snd_hda_gen_parse_auto_config() only if the
beep_nid is set up beforehand.

For dealing with the beep widget properly, call cx_auto_parse_beep()

Convert the mute LED handling in Conexant codec to the new vmaster

Also the assignment of the default vmaster hook is moved at a later
point after the mute hook is set up. This assures no nested hook.

Finally, since we enable the mute-LED kcontrols always in the helper
side, the extra vmaster_mute_enum flag set up is dropped.

Jeronimo Borque f9ef724d48 ALSA: hda - Fixes inverted Conexant GPIO mic mute led
"enabled" parameter historically referred to the device input or
output, not to the led indicator. After the changes added with the led
helper functions the mic mute led logic refers to the led and not to
the mic input which caused led indicator to be negated.
Fixing logic in cxt_update_gpio_led and updated
cxt_fixup_gpio_mute_hook
Also updated debug messages to ease further debugging if necessary.

Hui Wang 871b906602 ALSA: hda - Add a generic reboot_notify
Make codec enter D3 before rebooting or poweroff can fix the noise
issue on some laptops. And in theory it is harmless for all codecs
to enter D3 before rebooting or poweroff, let us add a generic
reboot_notify, then realtek and conexant drivers can call this
function.

Hui Wang 401714d953 ALSA: hda - Let all conexant codec enter D3 when rebooting
We have 3 new lenovo laptops which have conexant codec 0x14f11f86,
these 3 laptops also have the noise issue when rebooting, after
letting the codec enter D3 before rebooting or poweroff, the noise
disappers.

Instead of adding a new ID again in the reboot_notify(), let us make
this function apply to all conexant codec. In theory make codec enter
D3 before rebooting or poweroff is harmless, and I tested this change
on a couple of other Lenovo laptops which have different conexant
codecs, there is no side effect so far.

Hui Wang 3f8809499b ALSA: hda - Add a conexant codec entry to let mute led work
This conexant codec isn't in the supported codec list yet, the hda
generic driver can drive this codec well, but on a Lenovo machine
with mute/mic-mute leds, we need to apply CXT_FIXUP_THINKPAD_ACPI
to make the leds work. After adding this codec to the list, the
driver patch_conexant.c will apply THINKPAD_ACPI to this machine.
